Support Chloe Zinck for the 2020 motionball Marathon Of Sport Cape Breton

Dave and I shared a dream of bringing motionball to Cape Breton and in 2018 that dream became a reality. Since the motionball Marathon of Sport Cape Breton's inaugural year, our community has raised over $75,000 for local Special Olympics athletes and programs. Through the power of sport, these programs offer a gateway to empowerment, confidence and acceptance and also act as a catalyst to fight inactivity, injustice and intolerance.

While COVID-19 has affected us all, Special Olympics athletes are feeling the effects of this global pandemic more than most. Sport programs are suspended, competitions have been cancelled, and many athletes remain stuck indoors, at a greater risk of contracting COVID-19 than the general public. Now more than ever, the role of motionball in these athletes' lives is incredibly important.

In supporting motionball this year, you are ensuring that no athlete is left behind when programs resume. Your donation is critical in supporting athletes participating in Special Olympics programs at every level, from the athletes who bring home gold medals and make Canada proud on the world stage to the thousands who look forward to weekly practice for fitness, fun, and friendship. You are supporting the parents, siblings, caregivers and friends of individuals with intellectual disabilities, who imagine a world of inclusion and endless possibilities.

By supporting motionball, you are helping raise important funds and creating awareness for the Special Olympics movement and making it possible for more people with intellectual disabilities to benefit from the transformative power of sport.
