Support Kevin Kevin for the 2020 motionball Marathon Of Sport Vancouver

This year has been tough for everyone and many have been affected by the pandemic including those individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Canada and Motionball have been raising funds for many many years and created huge awareness on how important Special Olympics movement is. Through their dedication, they have been making it possible for more people with intellectual disabilities to benefit from the transformative power of sport and an active community. And despite the pandemic, we all still want to make a difference by running Motionball virtually this year.

Here I am, in my 4th year of joining Motionball where tomorrow I'll be joining Motionball’s 1st ever virtual edition of Marathon of Sport, hosted by Olympic Champion, Tessa Virtue and many special athletes will be joining us virtually too.

With the circumstances, sadly we can’t play in person this year, so we need your support more than ever. With many Special Olympics programs and fundraising initiatives on hold, our goal is to ensure that no athlete is left behind when programs resume again.

My personal ask? I want to help my team reach our $16,000 goal where we've reached 92% already, we are almost there and your contribution will help us reach our impact goal for Special Olympics Canada

Your donation is critical in supporting athletes participating in Special Olympics programs at every level, from the athletes who bring home gold medals and make Canada proud on the world stage to the thousands who look forward to weekly practice for fitness, fun, and friendship. You are supporting the parents, siblings, caregivers, and friends of individuals with intellectual disabilities, who imagine a world of inclusion & endless possibilities. To give a better picture, here's where the funds will go:

-70% - Supports the local Special Olympics Chapter and Community initiatives at grassroots level in our province.
-25% - Goes towards the Special Olympics Canada Foundation, whose mandate is to ensure the long-term financial stability of Special Olympics in Canada.
-5% - Directed to the #NoGoodWay Campaign, with the goal of creating a more inclusive society.

If you want to watch and join me in the 2020 Virtual Marathon of Sport. Please visit and below is the whole agenda ceremony for tomorrow:

1. Opening Ceremonies - 9:30AM - @motionballvan
2. Marathon of Sport - 10AM - Sportsnet ONE or
3. Closing Ceremonies - 11:30AM - @motionballvan

Thank you for your consideration and note that the donation will be closed tomorrow by 10am. Once again, your contribution and support are greatly appreciated, the special athletes and my brother's community will be eternally grateful.

motionball for Special Olympics is a registered not-for-profit corporation, raising money for Special Olympics programs across Canada. 70% of the funds we raise are distributed to programs in the province where they are raised, with the remainder going to the long-term funding of programs through the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.

While COVID-19 has affected us all, Special Olympics athletes are feeling the effects of this global pandemic more than most. Sport programs are suspended, competitions have been cancelled, and many athletes remain stuck indoors, at a greater risk of contracting COVID-19 than the general population. Now more than ever, the role of motionball in these athlete’s lives is incredibly important. As one of the Special Olympics’ largest funding partners in Canada, motionball has donated over $13M to date. motionball supporters are dedicated to ensuring that every local club and program can return stronger than before, and that no Special Olympics athlete is left behind.
