Support Reshma Younge for the 2021 motionball Marathon Of Sport Toronto

It is no surprise that I'm participating in Motionball marathon of sports again. This year, the event is taking place in downtown Toronto. The participants get to team up with special olympics athletes and complete a series of outdoor tasks/challenges. I'm so impressed by how Motionball is supporting our special olympics athletes even in the middle of a pandemic.

Having a child with special needs, opens your eyes to all the things that one doesn't comprehend. I had never realized the full magic of sports until now when I see Maya starting to participate. She is a fabulous swimmer (self taught) and an eager horse back rider. She is more aware and present while taking part in physical activities. She is learning to concentrate on an activity for longer periods, connecting to the activity and connecting with others involved in the activity. Thanks to sports, she is doing more and more of those everyday. I'm hoping that she keeps benefitting from sports and finds the joy of participating. I see that joy in the special olympic athletes.

I have set myself a decent goal for this years fundraising! Together we can help motionball bring so much joy to our Special Olympic Athletes! If you wish to donate please follow my link below

Thank you for your consideration! Your support is greatly appreciated.

Lots of love,
Reshma Younge

motionball for Special Olympics is a registered not-for-profit corporation, raising money for Special Olympics programs across Canada. 70% of the funds we raise are distributed to programs in the province where they are raised, with the remainder going to the long-term funding of programs through the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.

While COVID-19 has affected us all, Special Olympics athletes are feeling the effects of this global pandemic more than most. Sport programs are suspended, competitions have been cancelled, and many athletes remain stuck indoors, at a greater risk of contracting COVID-19 than the general population. Now more than ever, the role of motionball in these athlete’s lives is incredibly important. As one of the Special Olympics’ largest funding partners in Canada, motionball has donated over $13M to date. motionball supporters are dedicated to ensuring that every local club and program can return stronger than before, and that no Special Olympics athlete is left behind.
