Support Alex Marshall for the 2024 motionball Marathon Of Sport Toronto

My brother has been an inspiration to me for my entire life. As some of you may know, my brother Mike is developmentally delayed, and a member of the Special Olympics community. Every year, I participate in this event to campaign to raise money for Special Olympics athletes like him. This year has been a particularly difficult one for him so events like this really help to keep his spirits high. The motionball family and Special Olympics have always been there for him, so it is the least I can do to try and give something back.

Thank you for taking the time to read this blurb.

I am so proud to be sharing that I have joined Marshall Bros & Co for the 2024 motionball Marathon of Sport presented by Scarborough Toyota. This year, on June 8, my Team and I will be taking the field, alongside local Special Olympics athletes for a full day of sports, fun and inclusivity!

Today, I am inviting you to become a part of this amazing day by helping us reach our Team fundraising goal of $3,500. A tax receiptable donation of $20 will make a direct, local impact on Special Olympics athletes, like Ruby.

Ruby first became involved with motionball’s Marathon of Sport 10 years ago, and since then has participated in countless motionball events. This year, Ruby has taken on the role of motionball's Honorary Athlete Ambassador. Read below to learn what being a part of motionball means to Ruby!

“I am so happy to be a part of motionball. I have loved making so many new friends over the years and doing so many exciting things with the motionball team. My favourite part of motionball events is seeing all my friends and meeting all kinds of new people. My favourite sports to play at Marathon of Sport are basketball, soccer and of course... all the dancing!”

While a $3,500 fundraising target is one of our Team goals, Marathon of Sport is about so much more! Through events like this, motionball raises awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement and allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to connect, build new friendships, celebrate differences and ultimately create more inclusive communities across Canada.

With your help, we can reach our fundraising goal and make a difference in creating a more inclusive Canada! Please consider supporting our Team by making a donation directly to our fundraising page.

Every donation makes a difference.
