After sadly missing a year, I’m happy to be back raising funds for one of the Charities closest to my heart. On September 28, I am participating in an all-day fundraiser called motionball Marathon of Sport. This will be my 10th year participating! My inspiration for joining this great event is my brother Jason, a Special Olympian. This event for the past 12 years has and continues to be a date he circles on his calendar and looks forward to. Jason spends most of his time making sure everyone else is having a good time, this is an event that puts him first and recognizes the star that he is. I have been very fortunate over the past 9 years due to your generous donations to be a top 15 fundraiser each and every year a tradition I hope to continue. While fundraising is one of our goals, Marathon of Sport is about so much more. This day not only brings awareness to the Special Olympics movement, but allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to interact, build lifelong friendships, and ultimately create more inclusive communities.
