On November 23, I am participating in Kingston’s 10th annual motionball Marathon of Sport. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to be apart of this organization since its early days in Kingston, and have seen first-hand the impact it has for our local Special Olympics community.
Being involved in Special Olympics Kingston as a coach and a board member, the funds raised from events like these go a long way in helping us ensure accessible programming, and help us pay for things like equipment and gym space.
This day not only brings awareness to the Special Olympics movement, but allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to interact, build lifelong friendships, and ultimately create more inclusive communities. The highlight of this event each year is having the opportunity to compete alongside our local Special Olympics Kingston athletes.
Thank you very much for your support,
Chris
