On February 22, Bishop's University is hosting our annual Marathon of Sport, an all day fundraiser for motionball in support of Special Olympics Canada. It is my fourth year being on the committee here at Bishop's. motionball has showed me the strength of our community and how spectacular it is when we all come together advocating for a common goal. I am now one of the Event Directors, and I can't wait for another awesome Marathon of Sport season.
This day not only brings awareness to the Special Olympics movement, but allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to interact, build lifelong friendships, and ultimately create more inclusive communities.
