There are currently over 40,000 athletes enrolled in Special Olympics programs across Canada. Special Olympics is primarily funded through government grants, donations, and events like the Motionball Marathon of Sport.
On March 16, I’ll be participating in this year’s Marathon of Sport—an action-packed day where my team and I will play alongside Special Olympics athletes from our community. This event brings athletes of all abilities together on the playing field, fostering inclusion and teamwork.
Having participated twice in the past three years, I can confidently say this event not only raises awareness for the Special Olympics movement but also creates meaningful connections between individuals with and without intellectual disabilities, building lifelong friendships and more inclusive communities.
This year, I’ve set a personal fundraising target of $1,500. With your support, we can reach this goal and make a real difference in promoting inclusivity across Canada. Please consider donating to support my team and me!
Every contribution, big or small, makes an impact.
