Support Brad Affleck for the 2025 motionball Marathon Of Sport Calgary

Dear Friends and Family,

I am so proud to be participating in the 2025 Motionball Marathon of Sport Calgary with Strathcona Resources! On June 21, my team and I will be taking the field alongside local Special Olympics athletes for a full day of sports, fun, and inclusivity.

This cause is incredibly close to my heart because my son, Brodie, is a passionate and determined 20-year-old Special Olympics athlete. He loves competing—especially in swimming—and this summer, he will be showcasing his hard work and dedication at the Special Olympics in Grande Prairie. A huge Pokémon fan, Brodie loves collecting and talking about his favorite characters. His loyal companion, Pepper, is always by his side, bringing him joy. Living with Prader-Willi Syndrome comes with challenges, but his resilience and enthusiasm inspire everyone around him.

That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your support. We are working toward a team fundraising goal of $2,500, and a tax-receiptable donation of just $20 can make a direct, local impact on Special Olympics athletes like Brodie and his teammates.

While fundraising is an important part of this event, Motionball is about so much more. Through events like the Marathon of Sport, Motionball raises awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement and helps create inclusive communities where people with and without intellectual disabilities can connect, build friendships, and celebrate their differences.
