I am so proud to be sharing that I am once again the captain of TEAM HALL for the 2025 motionball Marathon of Sport Calgary. This year, on June 21, my Team and I will be taking the field, alongside other teams and Special Olympians for a full day of sports, fun and inclusivity!
I am inviting you to become a part of this amazing day by helping us reach our Team fundraising goal of $5,000! A tax receiptable donation of $20 will make a direct, local impact on Special Olympics athletes, like me!
I have been involved in the Marathon of Sport for 6 years – having attended events both inVancouver and Calgary! I have been involved with Special Olympics Calgary for over 20 years, with Athletics being my favourite sport to participate in! I will represent Calgary in the Provincial Summer games this July! I appreciate that Motionball helps raise awareness for Special Olympic initiatives and programs, and that the #NoGoodWay campaign aims to stop the use of the R-word in any situation.

While a $5,000 fundraising target is one of our Team goals, Marathon of Sport is about so much more! Through events like this, Motionball also raises awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement and allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to connect, build new friendships, celebrate differences and ultimately create more inclusive communities across Canada.
