Dear Family and Friends,
I have been given the opportunity to play in the women's Pucks for Purpose charity rivalry hockey game for the second time, happening on March 18th. This exciting event brings together students from across campus at StFX to support and fundraise for motionball for Special Olympics!
The day will bring together students to compete in a Business vs. Art-Sci hockey game, and all dollars raised at this event are important donation funds for motionball to support Special Olympics athletes in our community, in the province, and across the country. As a player on the Art-Sci Team, I am fundraising for motionball while the players on the Business team are fundraising for the Canadian Cancer Society.
motionball supports Special Olympics athletes to compete in sports, which allows members of our community with intellectual disabilities to not only stay fit and healthy, but also provides a social network, the feeling of belonging, and a sense of stability.
By making a donation to motionball, you're helping to ensure that Special Olympics athletes have the resources they need to stay connected and active in their communities and compete at their highest levels.
Thank you very much for your support for yet another year, and together, we can make Pucks for Purpose more than just a game!
