Support Team Rays of Sunshine

We are so proud to be sharing that Rays of Sunshine will be participating at the 2026 motionball Marathon of Sport . On ​​September 27th, our Team will be taking the field, alongside local Special Olympics athletes for a full day of sports, fun and inclusivity!

Today, we are inviting you to become a part of this amazing event by helping us reach our Team fundraising goal of $1,000. A tax receiptable donation of $20 will make a direct, local impact on Special Olympics athletes, like like Max.

Max has been involved with Special Olympics since he was 13 and has grown into a passionate multi-sport athlete competing in baseball, basketball, bowling, golf, and powerlifting. This year, we’re excited to have Max take on the role of motionball’s Honorary Athlete Ambassador. Hear from Max about what being part of motionball means to him:

“Special Olympics has given me the chance to stay active, challenge myself, and meet amazing people. I love being part of a community where I feel included, supported, and proud of what I can do!”

While a $1,000 fundraising target is one of our Team goals, Marathon of Sport is about so much more! Through events like this, motionball raises awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement and allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to connect, build new friendships, celebrate differences and ultimately create more inclusive communities across Canada.
