We are so proud to be sharing that The Replacements will be participating at the 2025 motionball Marathon of Sport. On September 13, our Team will be taking the field, alongside local Special Olympics athletes for a full day of sports, fun and inclusivity!
Today, we are inviting you to become a part of this amazing event by helping us reach our Team fundraising goal of $1,500. A tax receiptable donation of $20 will make a direct, local impact on Special Olympics athletes, like Brooklyn.
Brooklyn first became involved with motionball’s Marathon of Sport 10 years ago, and since then has participated in countless motionball events. This year we're so excited to have Brooklyn take on the role of motionball's Honorary Athlete Ambassador. Hear from Brooklyn about what being part of motionball means to her:
“I love to play sports, and being a part of motionball is such a fun day competing with others in a safe space where everyone is accepted. Special Olympics has allowed me to try new sports and meet so many friends like me with the same interest in sports. I am so excited to see my friends and to make new friends, and to play the games. ”
While a $1,500 fundraising target is one of our Team goals, Marathon of Sport is about so much more! Through events like this, motionball raises awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement and allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to connect, build new friendships, celebrate differences and ultimately create more inclusive communities across Canada.
With your help, we can reach our fundraising goal and make a difference in creating a more inclusive Canada! Please consider supporting our Team by making a donation directly to our fundraising page.
Every donation makes a difference.
