Support Team Inspire Bandits

We are so proud to be sharing that Inspire Bandits will be participating at the 2026 motionball Marathon of Sport presented by Kelowna Toyota. On ​​September 19th, our Team will be taking the field, alongside local Special Olympics athletes for a full day of sports, fun and inclusivity!

Today, we are inviting you to become a part of this amazing day by helping us reach our Team fundraising goal of $100,000. A tax receiptable donation of $20 will make a direct, local impact on Special Olympics athletes, like Ruby.

Ruby first became involved with motionball’s Marathon of Sport 10 years ago, and since then has participated in countless motionball events. This year, Ruby has taken on the role of motionball's Honorary Athlete Ambassador. Read below to learn what being a part of motionball means to Ruby!

“I am so happy to be a part of motionball. I have loved making so many new friends over the years and doing so many exciting things with the motionball team. My favourite part of motionball events is seeing all my friends and meeting all kinds of new people. My favourite sports to play at Marathon of Sport are basketball, soccer and of course... all the dancing!”

While a $100,000 fundraising target is one of our Team goals, Marathon of Sport is about so much more! Through events like this, motionball raises awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement and allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to connect, build new friendships, celebrate differences and ultimately create more inclusive communities across Canada.
