We are so proud to be sharing that motionball Hamilton Committee will be participating at the 2026 motionball Marathon of Sport . On June 20th, our Team will be taking the field, alongside local Special Olympics athletes for a full day of sports, fun and inclusivity!
Today, we are inviting you to become a part of this amazing event by helping us reach our Team fundraising goal of $1,000. A tax receiptable donation of $20 will make a direct, local impact on Special Olympics athletes, like Jeffrey.
Jeffrey has been part of motionball for over 11 years, participating in the motionball Hamilton Marathon of Sport and motionballU events. Jeffrey has been involved with Special Olympics for over 30 years and has participated in a wide range of sports including swimming, floor hockey, soccer, track & field, curling, softball, basketball, and bowling! This summer, Jeffrey will represent Team Ontario in 10 pin bowling at the 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Medicine Hat! Through Special Olympics and motionball, Jeffrey has built lasting friendships, amazing memories, and a strong sense of community through sport. One of his proudest accomplishments was winning a Gold medal with his floor hockey team at the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island. Jeffrey is so excited to be the 2026 Honorary Athlete at the motionball Hamilton Marathon of Sport!!
While a $1,000 fundraising target is one of our Team goals, Marathon of Sport is about so much more! Through events like this, motionball raises awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement and allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to connect, build new friendships, celebrate differences and ultimately create more inclusive communities across Canada.

70% of funds raised go to Provincial Chapters, 25% to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation for long-term stability, and 5% to the #NoGoodWay Campaign to eliminate the R-word.
