On Wednesday, March 13, I am participating in a fundraising hockey game that brings together students from across campus at St. FX to support and fundraise for motionball for Special Olympics and the Canadian Cancer Society!
This day will bring together students to compete in a Business vs. Art-Sci Rivalry game all for a good cause. The dollars raised at this event will raise important funds for motionball to support Special Olympics athletes in our community and across the country. As a member of the Business Team, I am fundraising for motionball and the Art-Sci team is fundraising for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Special Olympics is not just about sport, or staying fit and healthy, but also about providing a social network, a sense of belonging and a valuable source of stability – all essential to our athletes' mental and physical health.
