I am so excited to be joining that gay run club for the 2025 motionball Marathon of Sport. This year, on September 20, my Team and I will be taking the field, alongside local Special Olympics athletes for a full day of sports, fun and inclusivity!
Today, I am inviting you to become a part of this amazing day by helping us reach our Team fundraising goal of $1,600. A tax receiptable donation of $20 will make a direct, local impact on Special Olympics athletes.
As my friends and family may know, my brother Jordan has been a participant with Special Olympics bowling for many many years. I love when I get to watch Jordan bowl - he has SO MUCH FUN and gets very competitive (I guess that runs in the family...)
Watching Jordan foster relationships with his teammates and coaches is so wonderful. Everyone at Special Olympics is always so excited to be there and it's so clear that the coaches pour their hearts into making every athlete feel special.
While a $1,600 fundraising target is one of our Team goals, Marathon of Sport is about so much more! Through events like this, motionball raises awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement and allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to connect, build new friendships, celebrate differences and ultimately create more inclusive communities across Canada.
