Hi everyone,
I’m excited to share that I’m taking part in the 2025 motionball Marathon of Sport Winnipeg with my Deloitte team! On September 13th, we’ll be teaming up with local Special Olympics athletes for a full day of games, laughs, and making new friends—all in the name of inclusion.
If you’ve never heard of motionball, it’s an awesome event where people of all abilities come together to play sports, connect, and build a more inclusive community. The event not only raises awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement but also allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to connect, build new friendships, celebrate differences and ultimately create more inclusive communities across Canada. I last participated in 2016 and it was such a blast! Why the hiatus? The timing of the event in Winnipeg was always rough - between mid to late Sept - when we’re always swamped with Sept 15 and Oct 15 work deadlines. This year I decided that I’ll make time for it!
