for the 2026 Pucks for Purpose Hockey Game

$5,883 Raised Goal: $5,000
100%
On March 18th and 20th, I’ll be helping lead a fundraising hockey game at St. Francis Xavier University that brings students from across campus together in support of motionball for Special Olympics.

I’m running this event alongside a few fellow students, and together we’re leading an incredible committee of 28 student executives, 80 players, and 60 brand ambassadors who have all committed their time and energy to making this event meaningful.

The event features our annual Business vs. Arts & Science rivalry game, where competition on the ice turns into real impact off it. Funds raised through this event directly support motionball for Special Olympics and the Canadian Cancer Society - two causes that mean a great deal to our campus community.

motionball plays a vital role in supporting Special Olympics athletes by giving them opportunities to compete in sport. Beyond physical activity, sport creates confidence, community, and belonging - it offers athletes a social network, a sense of stability, and a place where they truly feel supported.

By donating to motionball, you’re helping ensure that Special Olympics athletes have the resources they need to stay active, stay connected, and continue competing at the highest levels in their communities, across the province, and across Canada.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting a cause that means a lot to me and to so many students here at StFX.

With gratitude,
Jona
