Hi everyone!

I just wanted to share a little about motionball and Marathon of Sport, and what it means to me!

Marathon of Sport is an amazing event put on by motionball Laurier to build connections and bond with local Special Olympics athletes, as well as raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Canada. It also shares the #NoGoodWay movement, a movement that promotes respectful, kind and inclusive language, while ending the use of the R-word.

I’m a part of Laurier’s chapter of motionball this year as a member of the marketing team and as an athlete ambassador for Laurier’s Varsity Swim Team. Everyone deserves to be included, to feel like they a part of something and to be treated with utmost kindness and respect. motionball brings our community together through accomplishing that, which is why it is so important to me to be a part of it.

motionball has proudly donated over $22,000,000 since 2002.

70% of funds raised go to Provincial Chapters, 25% to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation for long-term stability, and 5% to the #NoGoodWay Campaign to eliminate the R-word.
